MealEnders "The Antidote to Overeating"

Have you heard about MealEnders?  I am sure you have seen or heard of these.  I have seen them pop up everywhere on my Facebook side bar.  I am so glad to have gotten the chance to review this product for you guys today.

I foresee a lot of rambling on this post so, let's begin with MealEnders review.

Product Claims...  MealEnders  or "the antidote to overeating", is a first of it's kind weight management product.  It is low calorie and helps avoid the feeling of overeating and finally master portion control.  It claims to work with the body's natural hunger signals using a combination of behavioral, psychology and sensory science to keep cravings at bay after a meal.
Pricing and packaging...  MealEnders come in 4 flavors; mocha, chocolate mint, citrus and cinnamon.  Each pouch retails for $14.95 and are currently sold on their site.  Each pouch comes with 25 servings, offering other pouch packages as well.  MealEnders are low fat, contain only 2 grams of carbs, 15 calories, they are gluten free and kosher.  These are also free of crazy stimulants and MSG.

Initial thought...  I have to admit that these claims sounded too good to be true to me.  It seemed like the perfect product and one that a lot of people can benefit from using.  I received this product about two weeks ago.  I wanted to give it a fair try before I could share my opinion on the product with you.  I also had my hubby (aka, overnight snacking connoisseur) give it a try it as well.

How I use it...  A lot of us tend to crave something sweet around two o'clock.  I tend to crave something a bit heavier for lunch since it is my post workout meal.  I normally follow up my lunch with a snack around 1:30 pm which at times still leaves me feeling hungry and craving something sweet.  That's when I decided to bring out a MealEnder.

Does it work?...  OK!  So first of all, I think they were so clever with the packaging and the size.  It feels like you are having a piece of candy.  BTW, I now store these in a candy jar in my kitchen!  Each of them are the size of a hard candy and are coated with a scrumptious sweet soft layer.  They advice you not to chew it but, to allow it to dissolve in your mouth.  It takes about 10-20 minutes for these suckers to dissolve.

During those 20 minutes you get so many layers of different flavors (which, hello? genius.)  Again, you get the soft sweet layer, then it becomes the texture of a hard candy with a hint of spice, (cayenne pepper like, but not intense or grouse tasting) and finally you get a hint of a salty-sourly taste.

It's like having all  of the things you could possibly be craving in one piece of candy.  I thought Willy Wonka was the only one able to create such a thing...   Anyway, since it takes a while to dissolve, by the time you are done with it, you feel a bit confused by the party that just went on in your mouth but, most importantly, you feel satisfied.   Hubby enjoys his MealEnder at night and has significantly reduced the amount of snacking at night.

Flavors we recommend...  My favorite MealEnder is the citrus, it tasted like a lemon drop to me.  Hubby is a big fan of the mocha flavor, which starts out with a chocolate soft coating and ends with a coffee bean flavor.
YAY, you made it to the end...  As a thank you for reading this review and sticking to the end...

  1. That sounds like a really interesting product! I would have initially thought it was a powder and those get so annoying to mix up all of the time. The flavors sound great, and that is actually a really reasonable price for that kind of product!

  11. Can I say all the time? Haha just kidding! Usually when I get hungry right before lunch or dinner. I try to avoid this by always having healthy snacks around!

  12. Never heard of these, seems like a great idea and the fact that it takes so long to dissolve keeps you from eating more and more candy!
