March: Weekly Meal Plan

Whether your goal is weight-loss, weight-gain or living an overall healthy lifestyle meal planning is essential.  Having a weekly menu will ensure you stay on track with your health and fitness goals.  Planning you meals ahead is also a great way to introduce new healthy recipes to your family.

I want to start sharing my weekly meal plans with you on a monthly basis.  We tend to stick to the same menu during the month, it makes for easy meal planning and a smooth grocery shopping experience.

I have all of these recipes either on a blog post or in video form.  I have included links under each picture in case you are interested in giving one of these a world.
I am including five options for each meal.  I live in Colorado not in a bubble so... We enjoy a dinner out once a week to our favorite restaurant.  We also do "left-over" nights on Wednesday and Saturdays;  nothing in my fridge goes to waste.

My meal plan for this week:

Can you tell we love oats?  We tend to rotate these during the week.  I make sure to include some make ahead options as well, to save us time on those busy mornings.

Morning Snack: Between breakfast and lunch, I have been loving gala apples with a handful of raw almonds.

To be honest, I usually have a salad or left overs from the night before. However, I always like to have side dishes options readily available in the fridge for easy "grab and go" during the week.  I tend to enjoy my carb loaded meals for breakfast and lunch.

4. Oven Roasted Potato Medley with a side of veggies and leftover protein from the night before.
5. Mexican Couscous Salad and leftover protein from the night before

Afternoon Snack: Veggies with a serving, or two, of hummus.

We keep our dinners on the lighter side during the week.  It always consist of some sort of protein with a side of veggies.
1. Stuffed Peppers paired with roasted veggies
3. Healthy Meatballs paired with zucchini noodles or spaghetti squash.
5. Marinaded Baked Salmon paired with steamed broccoli.

Dessert:  I love finishing my day on a sweet note!  Lately I have been loving blending cashew milk, sunflower seed butter, frozen berries and a bit of stevia.  I then place that concoction in the freezer for a few hours to be enjoyed later with a spoon.  It is like a creamy sorbet!  So good!

Do you plan your meals for the week?  Do you find it easy to stick to it?
What are some of your faves?
