Product Review: Zim's Naturally Based Products

Happy Monday!  I hope you had a fabulous weekend.  I will be heading to work on shoulders, triceps and abs promptly and will attend the Spartan boot camp later today.

Before I head out to the gym, I wanted to share a couple of "new to me" products.

A few weeks ago I was contacted by Erin from Zim's Naturally Based Products to try their Organic Crack Creme with Hydrocortisone and their Max-Freeze Spray products.  I have to admit that I had never heard of this product line prior to Erin's email.  However, whenever I hear of a company creating organic, natural products I have an immediate instinct to support them.

Needless to say, I was curious and needed no convincing what so ever to give these products a try.  ;o)
  •  Zim's Advanced Organic Crack Creme with Hydrocortisone - is marketed as a creme that provides relief for cracked, dry or cut skin from hands and feet.  The addition of hydrocortisone, is said to aid speed up the healing process of those.  This creme can also be used for rashes, inflammation, redness, insect bites, eczema and even psoriasis.  This product retails for $9.99.
To be honest with you I do not suffer from dry or cracked hands or feet.  However, thanks to the spartan race boot-camp I have had a few scrapes on my legs.  I did use the creme and found that it did relieve some of the burning and itching sensation.  I found that it was moisturizing however, It did not get rid of any scaring.

Smells are very important to me,  I loved the scent of the crack creme, it reminded me of Fall.  It smells like ground cloves!    Like I said I did not get to experience the creme's intended purpose on dry cracked skin, but I am glad to have tried it and to have it in my medicine cabinet.  I foresee this creme being extremely handy in the winter months and on my very active 12 year old son.
  • Zim's Max Freeze Spray - it is their most popular product.  It provides a cooling sensation, utilizing a topical analgesic formula to provide temporary relief to aching muscles and joints.  This product retails for $9.99.
OML!  I can see why the max freeze spray is their most popular selling products. This product has been my savior for the last few weeks. If you have been following my recent blog post, you know I have been training intensively for a race.  Consequently, I have been suffering from soreness of muscles and the max freeze spray has provided instant relieve.  I love that it is in a spray form, so convenient, you can really focus on applying it in the aching area and I found no need to rub it in.

I applied the spray in the morning and at night.  Again, smells are important to me, and this spray had a pretty strong tea tree oil scent.  I found that while it does smell pretty strongly when first sprayed, the scent does dissipates rather quickly, which I appreciated because; who wants to smell like tea tree oil all they long, right?

Did I mention that these products are formulated with naturally based ingredients including aloe, arnica, vitamin E and tea tree oil.

Check out their ingredient list below...

If you are looking to amp up your medicine cabinet with natural and organic products I would highly recommend Zim's line.  If you are one to suffer from psoriasis, cracked hands and feet especially during winter months, give the natural crack creme a try.

I would hands down recommend the max freeze spray, to athletes or anyone suffering from muscle or joint pains.  This stuff is amazing and I will definitely repurchase it.

The max freeze spray is widely available at national supermarkets and drug stores in the US such as Walmart, Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy, K Mart, Rite Aid, Publix and also on line at Zim's USA and Drugstore.com.

Have you tried Zim's products?  What's your favorite product from them?
