Dealing with self-doubt while Improving on my running

Hi, happy HuMp day!  Hope you are having a good week so far.  My day began with a little bit of everything for breakfast...

1/2 tsp. of baking powder

I had half a serving left of this huge container of protein powder that needed to go.  I combined all of the ingredients, mixed in a bowl, cooked it like I would a pancake and topped it with a bit of nut butter and a diced granny smith.  Strange combo, but it was delicious. ;o)

Anywhosers...  If you recall from my last post, I shared how through the Spartan race boot-camp I discovered how badly I need to work on my running and balance.  I have made it my mission to improve on both.  
Here's my running schedule for this week:
I started running on the treadmill this week and plan to take it outside once the weather cooperates.  

As far as working on my balance, I have been incorporating balance moves with my weight training.  I have added simple balance moves such as, performing single leg bicep curls and standing on one leg for a minute.  I know these sound easy, however, my balance stinks and I need to start where I feel comfortable at.   Also to improve my balance, I am incorporating a yoga day into my routine.

Since starting boot-camp last week, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays are now weigh-training days for me, cutting my weight training from 5 days a week to only 3 days a week.   I am changing things up a bit until these 2 days a week of hell boot-camp are over.   

In case you were wondering, I have not signed up for the Spartan Race yet.  To be honest I have been doubting my ability to go through with it. I am still not used to Colorado's altitude and 3 weeks is just not enough time to prepare.  

I have to admit that while performing 2 of the obstacles during boot-camp the words "I can't do this" have come out of my mouth a few times.  Oooh, did I mention that every time you fail to complete an obstacle you have to do 30 burpees before you could move on to the next obstacle?  YEP!

 Burpees are usually not a challenge for me, I am actually part of the rare few that enjoys doing them.  However, I ended up doing 60 on Monday, due to my balance issues and that damn rotating monkey bar!  But, I am sticking to the boot-camp whether I do the race or not.  

I am not sure that I will be participating this year, but next year, IT IS ON BABY!
