Treadmill Pyramid Cardio Routine

Hola!  I hope you had a great weekend.  The weather in Colorado has been perfection lately.  I have made it my mission to enjoy it as much as possible.  My backyard has become my gym for the last couple of days and I have been loving every second of it.  

Today however, I hopped on the treadmill and halfway through my 15 minute usual HIIT routine, I stopped, and headed outside to finish the rest of my cardio for the day.  I finished this pyramid routine in 25 minutes.  
I also plan to do arms later... outside, of course ;o))

Is there anything  better than inhaling fresh air and exhaling all that carbon dioxide outdoors?
Hmmm, I don't think so... Oh wait, yes, chocolate and wine, TOGETHER!

Here's what I did:

Note to self: next time take the sprints outside! 
 I like to start with a 1 minute walk on the treadmill as a quick warm up and also as a cool down.  I think it is also very important to devote 3-5 minutes to stretching after any routine. Remember that among many other benefits, stretching aids with soreness.

  1. Ah! I just did the Pyramid Portion of the workout because I needed a break from my math homework ;) And man, that was a killers few minutes! My lungs are on fire right now! (that could just be my asthma, haha!) But I loved it! Perfect energizer!
