Baked Oatmeal

Happy Wednesday!  I hope you are having a great week.  OK, I posted a photo over Instagram this morning and a couple of you wanted to know the details on it. I love sharing with you guys, so I agreed to post the recipe on here...

I should warn you... these baked oats are super, duper easy to make!

You can prep your oats the night before and pop it in the oven in the morning.  If you are a fan of apple pie, you will enjoy this breakfast combination for sure!  However, feel free to use this recipe as a guideline, use any fruit or spices of your choice.
Directions and Ingredients:
First, preheat your oven at 350 degrees. 
 In a small mixing bowl, combine and mix the following ingredients:
1/4 tsp of baking powder
1/2 tsp of kosher salt
1/2 tsp of ground cloves
1/2 tsp of ground ginger
1/4 tsp of ground nutmeg
1 tsp. of ground cinnamon
3/4 of a cup water
1/3 cup of old fashion oats
1 granny smith apple diced (or apple of your choice)
1 tsp. of baking truvia
I used 1 tbsp. of Great Lakes Gelatin  (optional, I am trying out this product, source of protein)

Give your mixture a taste and adjust sweetener or spices if you wish.  Transfer your mixture into a ramekin or a small baking dish.  Place your ramekin over a cooking tray and bake for 35 minutes.  Remove from oven and let your oats cool for 5-8 minutes.  
Sprinkle a bit more cinnamon over top.

There you have it!  This is one of my favorite ways to prepare my oats.  I hope you give this recipe a try.
