Happy Monday! I hope you are doing well. I wanted to share a pre-workout meal I have been enjoying lately. It is essentially a portable salad in a cup. I love the convenience of smoothies and protein shakes. This particular one is effortless, quick to prepare and packed with delicious healthy fats and super-foods.
I know it looks intimidating but, trust me; it is really, really good!!!
I hope you give this recipe a try ;o)
1 scoop of wheat grass powder (I used Amazing Grass)
1 cup of chopped kale
1/2 of a small avocado
juice of 1/2 a lemon
1/4 t. of ground cinnamon
1/4 t. of ground turmeric
vanilla liquid stevia or Truvia to taste
6 ice cubes
1 1/2 cups of cold water
Add all of your ingredients into a blender. Blend until you get a "milkshake" like consistency.
Serve & enjoy! ;o)
Now, I am a wheat grass lover but, if you are not a fan...
try adding it to your favorite fruit smoothie or protein shake, preferably in the morning.
