Black Bean Brownies

These are so good!  Hubby & kid approved!  The best part about my brownies is that they are gluten free, vegan and guiltless!  Add a protein powder of your choice if you wish.  Enjoy!

What you'll need:
2 cups of soaked black (red or chickpeas) beans (or 16 oz of can drained and washed)
1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup raw coconut nectar (honey or agave will work as well)
2 ripe bananas
1/4 of unsweetened apple sauce
1/2 t cinnamon
1 t. of instant coffee
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/2 crushed walnuts
1/4 of dark chocolate chips
2 tbs of chia seeds

Unsweetened coconut flakes
protein powder
sea salt

Preheat your oven at 350.  Throw beans, bananas, apple sauce, coconut nectar, vanilla, coffee & cinnamon into a blender or food processor.  Blend at medium speed for 2 minutes or until well blended.  Pour the mixture into a mixing bowl and add in the nuts, chocolate chips and chia seeds and mix in with a spatula.  Place the mixture into your parchment paper prepared baking dish;op...  Bake for 30-40 mins.

I added coconut flakes on top prior to baking...
Let the brownies cool for 5-10 mins before refrigerating (if you can wait.)  Refrigerate for 1 hour, cut and serve!
